Responsibilities included

Level Design
  • Iterated on different level areas from alpha to polished state utilizing play-tests and feedback
  • Ensured proper pacing of combat, puzzle and exploration beats 
  • Designed and maintained player flow and guidance
  • Optimized the level to retain proper frame rates
Combat Design
  • Designed four main combat spaces focussed on different combat styles
  • Utilized Half Life 2's AI in properly scaled areas using metrics
Puzzle Design
  • Integrated physics-based puzzles into the environment
  • Developed puzzles using the four-stage puzzle-design methodology
    • 1. introduction of the puzzle mechanic
    • 2. complication of the puzzle mechanic
    • 3. combination with other puzzle elements
    • 4. turning the puzzle mechanic on it's head
